Team profile - Tijen Dogan

Business Services and Tax Manager

Tijen was born in Victoria before moving to Turkey at the age of eleven years and living overseas for two years before relocating to the Gold Coast.

As an active teen Tijen enjoyed playing basketball in high school and represented her school in a rep team. She also coached her younger brother’s basketball team for 12 months. Though she admits that she now doesn’t play any particular sport regularly she does enjoy going to the gym, going for a walk, a jog, adventurous bush walking and the very strenuous Bikram yoga.

On a personal level, Tijen loves to dance. She enjoys most styles of dancing and is currently studying Flamenco style dancing and has performed occasionally. She also enjoys Latin dancing but says she "only enjoys this style for the fun of it”.

Tijen has many passions, but says one of her favourite passions is travelling. She has travelled to Thailand, Japan, Turkey and Europe (nineteen countries in all). Her next planned trip on the agenda is to the States.

As a Chartered Accountant she started out in a Gold Coast firm in 2003 as a graduate and progressed to management in six years. She worked in a Brisbane firm as a Team Leader for another 12 months before joining Baker Affleck Moffrey in June this year.
