Team profile - Kourtney LoweKourtney was born in Sutherland Shire. She spent her earlier years living in Cronulla, Sydney. She is the youngest (and favourite, so she tells us) in the family with an older brother and sister. In 1997 her family came to the Gold Coast on a holiday, six months later they all moved and settled in Robina. When Kourtney was sixteen she decided retail wasn’t a great career option. This thought landed her working as an apprentice hairdresser. She stayed in this role for a year and a half. She jokes “I have trouble cutting a straight line let alone styling someone's hair!” After trying her hand in hair dressing and graduating school Kourtney decided, like most young people, that she would just go and travel the world – until she realised she needed money to do this… Kourtney, being as determined as she is started work at a local Chartered Accounting firm as an administration assistant and went on her first holiday to Bali. While working here she completed her certificate 3 in Business Administration. On completion of her certificate 3 in Business Administration she went straight into night time Tafe and completed her Certificate 4 in Financial Services (Bookkeeping). In 2009 Kourtney joined Baker Affleck Moffrey as the receptionist. After just two weeks of knowing Kourtney and seeing her potential she was promoted to the marketing Coordinator and has stayed in this role for the past two and half years. Kourtney has absolutely bloomed in this role. She is a young person with a need to succeed. She is very creative and does all the graphic designing at Baker Affleck Moffrey for any of our Marketing material. Kourtney has a very keen eye for the IT field and also assists with reception and many other tasks in our office. Besides travelling Kourtney likes to keep fit by snowboarding. In February this year she got the opportunity to spend two weeks snowboarding in Japan and with the US dollar being so good she also travelled to the USA in July with a group of friends. Some of her highlights of America were walking Rodeo Drive in LA, seeing the killer whales in San Diego, creating her own ‘hangover’ movie in Vegas, shopping at Tiffany in New York (well walked inside but who cares about material things?) and spent a day on Alcatraz – “what an amazing place!” she states. Not wanting to stop there, she is in the process of planning her next adventure which consists of a five week back packing holiday with her sister, Alarna, to Europe with a stopover in Dubai to try out the indoor ski slopes!! We love having Kourtney on our team, so don’t forget to say hi to Kourtney next time you're in the office. Look out world, here comes Kourtney……
